1 Rangers Notes Rangers Hall to induct pair  After signing with Texas in 1982, outfielder Ruben Sierra made his major-league debut in 1986 and ranked second in the American League with 10 triples, a club record at the time. Harrah was Texas’ first All-Star July 29, 2009 Toby Harrah, the first shortstop to enter the Rangers Hall of Fame, also spent time at second and third base with Texas. Vol. 1 No. 6 Hall of Fame Edition Toby Harrah began his career with the Washington Senators in 1969 before the club moved to Texas. Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Ruben Sierra was named Rangers Player of the Year four times in five years.  An original Texas Ranger after playing three seasons with the Washington Senators, Toby Harrah made the 1972 American League All-Star Team and was named Rangers Player of the Year in 1975, batting.293 with 20 home runs and a career-high 93 RBI.  Shortstop Toby Harrah and outfielder Ruben Sierra will become the 11 th and 12 th members of the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Saturday in an on-field ceremony prior to the game against the Seattle Mariners. Ruben Sierra played parts of 10 seasons with the Rangers and is the team’s career leader in triples. Player of the Year in 1989, when he batted.306 and led the league with 14 triples, 119 RBI and a.543 slugging percentage.  A native of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Sierra was the Rangers’ Player of the Year in 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1991. With three stints in Texas, he is the team leader in career triples (44) and ranks sixth all- time among switch hitters with 306 home runs.  Harrah played three infield positions across eight seasons with the Rangers. After coming up as a shortstop, he moved to third base in 1977 before being traded to the Cleveland Indians. Harrah returned to Texas in 1985 as a second baseman and set a club record with 133 walks that season.  Harrah follows Buddy Bell as the second infielder in the Rangers Hall of Fame while Sierra is the second outfielder after Rusty Greer was inducted in 2007.  After retiring in a Texas uniform in 1986, Harrah went on to become the Rangers’ hitting coach and interim manager from 1989-1992.  Sierra played his first full big-league season in 1986 as Harrah, in his second go- round with Texas, played his last.
