We Fly Them High! Team America Rocketry Challenge Design and build model rockets to meet a specific altitude, flight duration, and recovery Carry eggs and an altimeter Launch sites in Maryland and Virginia Four teams completed challenge in 2014 One team invited to national finals – came in fifth out of top 100 teams in US 9/23/20154

We Kick Bots! FIRST Tech Challenge One team in 2013, two teams in 2014 High rank in local tournaments, advanced to state championship Botball Educational Robotics Program Thirteen years participation, multiple teams Three teams in DC region tournaments – one team came in third One team participated in global competition in Los Angeles Regional and global awards over many years 9/23/20155

Operations Membership 2013 44 high school girls and boys From 20 different schools 90% graduate to science/engineering higher education degree programs Meetings Wednesday, 6:30pm – 9:00pm Saturday: workshops, launches, competitions Annual picnic, teamwork events Exhibits, school visits, SSL opportunities Local tours, summer overnight trips 9/23/20156
