Our Mission The mission of Alliance Tennenbaum Family Technology High School is to create 21st century learners who re ready for success in college through individualized student-centered instruction that makes academics both personal and relevant for every student. To do this, we use the Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation (BLAST) model, which incorporates distance learning, digital content, online courses, and interactive tools while leveraging human capital.

Parents as Partners Research shows that meaningful parent/school partnerships positively impacts student achievement levels. At Tennenbaum, parents are regarded as partners and are expected to take an active role in their child’s education. Each family is required to volunteer a total of 40-hours per school year. There are multiple ways to volunteer and support the success of the school.

Track Record of Success 4 Alliance schools rank in the top 10% of LAUSD high schools with API scores over 800. 6 Alliance schools rank in the top 5% of high schools nationwide by US News and World Report. 4 Alliance schools rank among the top 25 “Most Transformative” high schools in the nation by Newsweek. Alliance schools average and API score of 760. 100% of Alliance graduates pass the courses necessary to apply to a UC or Cal State University. 95% of graduates are admitted to a 2-year or 4-year university.

Sports Alliance Tennenbaum Tech and the other Sotomayor schools share sports facilities and join together to create sports teams.
