4. HANBOK From Korea
Hanbok clothes is traditional outfit of korea. Korean people nowadays wear Hanbok only on festive or special annversaries, however it was worn daily up until just 100 years ago. It is a kind of traditional formal dress and most korean keep a Hanbok for wedding ceremony and on their 60th birthday. Hanbok is also wear for funerals or religious services, and is still used as casual wear in villages or districs.

When: start on 3 kingdom period since 19 century only worn special occasion. Popular since kosean period. Has 3 types: everyday, ceremonia, special. Worn as semi formal & formal wear during traditional festival & celebration / ceremonial , child 1st birthday, wedding , funerals
Gender: men & women wear different Hanbok
Woman Hanbok consist of: jeogori (blouse shirt or jacket )
China (wrap around skirt which usually worn full)
Men Hanbok consist of : jeogori ( blouse or jacket )
Baji ( pants – baggy pants )

6. HANBOK From Korea Materials:
upper class: wear Hanbok cosely woven ramie cloth or other high grade material in warm weather. Plain & patterned skills in the vest of the year
Commoners: wear Hanbok made of cotton
Color:
Upper class: wear variety of color: bright color for children and girls. Subved colors for middle aged men & women
Commoners: wear white color. On special occasion thay can used dull shade of pale pink, light green, grey. Only royal family can used gold color.

7. HANBOK From Korea Accesories:
Ayam – worn by women on winter time to cover forehead and ears
Hwagwan – worn by women for ceremonial such as wedding ( on head )
Yang gwan – crown worn by men for ceremonial
INFO – unmarried women & men – their hair only braid
Married men & women – hair is braided & knotted

8. KIMONO From Japanese
The japanese kimono is traditional dress of japan. It’s got long sleeves and reaches from the shoulders all the way down to one’s heels. Different types of kimono are worn depending on the occasion. Kimonos for everyday wear are a lot simpler than those for formal occasion.
Most of kimono are made of silk, althought they also come in cotton, wool and linen. Compared to western dress, the kimono tends to limit one’s movement, and it takes more time to wear and store properly. So most japanese people wear kimonos only on special occasion like formal gathering

9. KIMONO From japanese
Characteristic: t-shaped, straight lined robes worn su that the hem falls to the ankle, with attached collars and long wide sleeves. Kimono are wrapped around the body, always with the left side over the right and secured by a sash called an obim which is tied at the back.
When: first apperead in the jomon period with no distinction between male & female now were worn on special occasion: wedding, tea ceremonies, formal occasion sumo wrestlers wear kimono whenever appearing in public

Gender: unmarried women: wore a style of kimono called furisode with almost floor length sleeves on special occasion
Men & women: wear kimono on daily basis
Men: kimono men should fall approximately to the ankle without tucking
Women: kimono for women has additional length to allow for is used to adjust the kimono to the weather.
