4 * You need a license to become a dentist. * There are opportunities for advancement. * You must have certain skills and abilities to become a dentist.

5 * On the daily: 1. Remove tooth decay 2. Fill cavities 3. Examine x-rays 4. Straighten teeth 5. Repair fractured teeth 6. Deal with people

6 * Out of the ordinary: 1. Bookkeeping 2. Buying or equipment and supplies 3. Supervision of employees

7 * Currently about 120,000 general dentists and about 7,700 orthodontists. * Future jobs should be plentiful due to the number of retiring dentists.
