Your Money at Work This year Title I provides funding for: Math Specialist Reading Specialist Social Skills/Counseling support 7 Educational Assistants Professional development for teachers on Reading, Writing and classroom behavior support Leveled Readers for classrooms Summer School Program Reading Comprehension support materials

A Wholistic Approach Literacy Time in schedule for intervention & enrichment – separate from reading block Train Educational Assistants on specific programs used at Bellview Implement Accelerated Reader program for extra practice at school Math Focus on best instructional practices and new core math curriculum Time in schedule for intervention & enrichment - separate from core math block Implement computer- based IXL program to support teacher directed instruction and at-home practice

A Wholistic Approach Social Skills Every classroom participates in social skills lessons every week Semi-annual all school “Expectation Stations” Small group social skills practice Positive feedback for doing the right thing and instruction when mistakes occur Family Involvement Three family involvement nights focused on academics and supports for parents PTO or school-sponsored Fun Nights once per month Academic feedback to parents at least four times per year through report cards and conferences Parent Education Series 6x per year

Systems in Place At Bellview, every student is assessed in the areas of reading, writing, math and behavior three times per year We use this data to plan for teaching and support Students who receive extra support will be assessed more frequently to be sure our strategies are working

More Systems Bellview uses a Positive Behavior and Intervention Support (PBIS) program to support successful behaviors at school We use a referral system that allows us to track both student and adult behavior and teach students how to do the right thing Positive reinforcement for positive behavior is used as often: Bobcat Tickets, Life Skills awards, attendance awards, lunch drawings
