Survey was administered Spring 2008 Participants randomly selected Anonymous Electronic Survey n = 486 Response rate = 49% Next survey spring 2010

All participants were entered into a drawing. One person won an I-Pod Nano Video 8GB. Five people won a $25 gift card to Best Buy Five People won a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card.

Within the previous 2 years two students have died from an alcohol or drug related tragedy One was partying after exams, very intoxicated, vomited, and aspirated at home Another, student was stressed, depressed, and committed suicide related to a drug overdose

All Freshmen attend the Life at College presentation put on by the SWAT team, including the presentation “Dying for a Drink” UT Athletics is implementing a social norm marketing campaign Designed to correct misperceptions pertaining to student alcohol consumption patterns NCAA CHOICES grant

* There have been 36 Alcohol and other Drug assessments performed by the Counseling Center on UT’s main campus since July 2008.
