Tertiary or Intermediate Colors
Are made by adding the primary color to the secondary color next to it on the color wheel. Ex – Add red to violet, add blue to violet, add red to orange, add yellow to orange, add blue to green, add yellow to green

HUE HUES These are the purest and brightest colors. They form the full spectrum of colors which progress around the Primary Color Wheel in gradual increments.

TINT TINTS A Tint is sometimes called a Pastel. It's simply any color with white added.

SHADE A Shade is simply any color with black added.

ANALOGOUS An Analogous Color Scheme is when you use three or more Hues which are positioned next to each other on the Color Wheel. In this case we're using Green Blue/Green Blue Blue /Violet.

TRIAD A Triad Colors combine every fourth color on the Basic Color Wheel. This gives you 4 different palette choices of 3 colors each. 3 Primary Colors which are Yellow, Red and Blue. 3 Secondary Colors which are Orange, Violet, and Green. (as seen here) 3 Tertiary Colors which are Yellow/Orange, Red/Violet, Blue/Green
