IAEs Vision A secure business environment that facilitates and supports cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in support of agency mission performance

IAE Goals Create a simpler, common, integrated business process for buyers and sellers that promotes competition, transparency and integrity. Increase data sharing to enable better business decisions in procurement, logistic, payment and performance assessment. Take a unified approach to obtaining modern tools to leverage investment costs for business related processes.

IAE Accomplishments o Launched or expanded 10 centralized acquisition systems since 2002 o Use of IAE systems mandated by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) o Redundant systems have been shut down, paper forms have been eliminated and procurement systems are sharing data o Strategy IAE has followed: o Adopt if possible o Otherwise Adapt o Acquire if necessary o Small businesses have the same opportunity as large to take advantage of federal business opportunities o Agencies are required by OFPP to validate data to confirm accuracy o www.usaspending.gov to search federal contracting dollars and grant awards created. Required by FFATA. Utilizes FPDS data www.usaspending.gov
