10. Television Standards NTSC (National Television System Committee) SECAM (Sequential Color And Memory) PAL (Phase Alternating Line) - number of horizontal lines in the picture (525 or 625 for standard TV; 1,125 and 1,250 for HDTV) - 30 or 25 frames per second - electronic bandwidth of the signal

Video Performance Outcome The NTSC Broadcast Standard –525 line, 30 frames per second system is shared primarily by the United States, Canada, Greenland, Mexico, Cuba, Panama, Japan, the Philippines, Puerto Rico and most of South America. –Based on the 60 cycle electrical system (30 frames = 60 fields)
