4 SEED is a holistic program for middle school, high school, and college students. SEED brings students together in a 24-hour-a-day, 5-day-a-week community highly dedicated educators, counselors, and college success specialists focused on college readiness and completion. SEED Solution

5 Founded in 1997, SEED opened the nation’s first urban public boarding school one year later to help underserved children go to college and succeed. SEED Solution

6 SEED’s College Transition & Success (CTS) initiative supports SEED graduates through college. CTS provides: College Matching & Transition Advising Financial Aid Education College Exposure & Outreach Visits Scholarships Leadership Development Encouragement & Support SEED Solution

7 Step 1 Result Right College Preparation Right College Match Right College Supports College Success We provide our students with rigorous academics, exposure to appropriate colleges/universities, strong understanding of college affordability, and opportunities to develop tenacity and educational ownership. We examine the academic, personal, and financial needs of our students and identify colleges/universities that have a profile of success—high college graduation rates, strong campus-based support systems, and affordability. We are matching students to colleges/universities that are effectively supporting students with the academic, social, and financial transition through college, and showing evidence of successfully graduating students within a six-year period.
