Example 1: Changing Fractions with Denominators of 100 to Percents Each fraction is changed to a percent. a. b. c. Remember that percent means hundredths. Note that the decimal point is not moved. The numerator is unchanged.

To Change a Decimal Number to a Percent Step 1: Move the decimal point two places to the right. Step 2: Write the % sign. Changing Decimal Numbers to Percents
