7 + What do we know so far? What is CBE NOT? CBE is NOT for every student!!! CBE may NOT be for every program or course of study!!! CBE is NOT interpreted the same way at every school!!! What do we think CBE is? CBE IS an incredibly exciting opportunity for our self-motivated, high Locus of Control students with some work experience. CBE IS a self-paced, distance-based/hybrid, and student- controlled delivery modality. CBE IS a platform that is built for our concept of Navigation.

8 + What do we know? CBE comes in three varieties: Course Equivalent Direct Assessment Hybrid Accrediting bodies are still trying to work with Dept of ED to figure out how to approve these processes. For Title IV funds to be available it is “All or Nothing” (or is it???) Most transcripts are printed in Course Equivalencies (Not Competencies). Parts of term are a true challenge in delivering CBE.

9 + Parts of Term – Subscription Based January July December Term 2 Term 1 Term 2 Term 1 Term 2 Term 1 Term 2 Term 1 All You Can Eat

10 + Parts of Term – Semester Based August 17 December 11 Term 1 – 16 Weeks August 31 December 11 Term 2 – 14 Weeks September 14 December 11 Term 3 – 12 Weeks September 28 December 11 Term 4 – 10 Weeks October 12 December 11 Term 5 – 8 Weeks October 26 December 11 Term 6 – 6 Weeks November 9 December 11 Term 7 – 4 Weeks November 23 December 11 Term 8 – 2 Weeks Part – Time Only?
