Introduction This Web Quest is going to be a fun way for you to learn about Rhyming Words! Throughout the quest, you will learn why words rhyme and what to listen for to determine if words rhyme. Have fun!

Rhyming Words Rhyming Words: Words that have the same ending sound. For Example: Cat and Hat

Task You are going to take a journey through the pages of rhyming words and pictures to determine which words rhyme and what to listen for. After you are finished, you can go to links to practice rhyming and play some rhyming games!

Remember: Rhyming words have the same ending sounds. Do you know where the ending sound of a word would be? What is the ending sound of Frog? -og Which word rhymes with Frog? Fire or Dog?

The answer is Dog! Dog and Frog are rhyming words! Do you know why they rhyme? –They are rhyming words because they have the same ending sound: - og
