1. New Qualifications – New Opportunities. Lesson Two: Thursday, 23 rd January. 2. What skills will I develop through the New Qualifications? The Curriculum for Excellence focuses on developing skills for learning, life and work. You are developing important core skills for learning, life and work in each of your subjects. In S3, all pupils must identify and evaluate their skills when completing their S3 profile. S4 pupils will have to be confident in discussing their skills in preparation for completing university/college applications, or when applying for a part- time job. The earlier you start identifying these skills and making connections across subjects, the more you will develop your skills and the more confident you will be when discussing them.
