7. Week 6 Length = 0.2-0.3 in Tissue for vertebrae forms Heart beat is regular and blood flows Brain develops into 5 areas Arms and legs begin to develop

8. Week 8 Length = 0.5 in Lungs begin to develop Arms and legs continue to develop

15. Week 18 Length = 5.5 in Weight = 7.1 oz Baby can suck Sex organs distinct Meconium is made

16. Week 20 HALF WAY DONE!!! Length = 6.3 in Weight = 11.3 oz Vernix caseosa covers skin (white sticky substance) Quickening can be felt by mother

17. Week 22 Length = 7.5 in Weight = 1 lb Head and body has hair Babies movement increases

18. Week 24 HUGE WEEK!!!! Length = 8.3 in Weight = 1.4 lbs survive outside womb POSSIBLE with help Would need medical help for extended period

19. Week 26 Length = 9.1 in Weight = 1.8 lbs Eyes developed Startle reflex Foot and finger prints develop Air sacs form in lungs

20. Week 28 ENORMOUS WEEK!!!! Length = 9.8 in Weight = 2.2 lbs Survival outside womb PROBABLE with medical help

21. Week 30 BEGIN 3 rd TRIMESTER Length = 10.6 in Weight = 2.9 lbs Eyes open again Storage of minerals begins Iron, Calcium, Phosphorous

26. Week 40 Length = 14.2 inches crown to rump 20 inches head to toe Weight = 7.5 lbs BABY IS DUE!!!! Baby can come up to 2 weeks late Usually a c-section is scheduled after 2 weeks
