4. 6/12 - The first 3/12 are not on call - ENJOY! Learning Objectives/Outcomes ACCS paperwork

5. Familiarise yourself with the department/system/logistics. Basic reading and fundamental knowledge. Start thinking about what you are doing. Month 1

6. Month 2 Decide on a schedule to achieve the 17 competencies that make up the IAC. Start working through them. Maximise you learning opportunities If in doubt, ask.

7. Month 3 Complete any outstanding WPBA for the IAC. Get the IAC signed Start on the on call rota!

8. Months 3-6 Enjoy the on-call - its hard work but fun! (honest). If ACCS Anaesthesia - keep working through the WPBA for the basic training certificate - remember e-learning.

9. Look to maximise exposure to different anaesthetic techniques which may help with other specialities - femoral nerve blocks, CVC insertion etc. AUDIT! Ensure all the paperwork is tied up well before the ARCP!
