5. The Smart Schools initiative is one of the flagship applications that are part of Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) project. The Government aims to capitalise on the presence of leading-edge technologies and the rapid development of the MSC infrastructure to jump start deployment of enabling technologies to schools. 9. The smart school program will be re-modelled and its implementation fast-tracked to enable more schools to benefit, at lower cost to the government. Smart schools will have access to the Internet through the SchoolNet program, which is already at an advanced stage of implementation.
