In the beginning … Networks defined the place, time and devices that were connected to them. The business determined the devices that were attached and from where and when they could have access. 2013 CASBO ANNUAL CONFERENCE & SCHOOL BUSINESS EXPO

Not long ago … While state of the art at the time, these are now considered “closed systems”. The business defined who, what, where and when.

2013 CASBO ANNUAL CONFERENCE & SCHOOL BUSINESS EXPO Anytime, Anywhere, Any Device Today’s networks are all about accessibility What drives that? Terms you probably know: –Web based instruction –Digital textbooks –Common Core –SBAC & other assessments

2013 CASBO ANNUAL CONFERENCE & SCHOOL BUSINESS EXPO Anytime, Anywhere, Any Device OK. That’s all about content. What about accessibility? How students access that content is shifting too: –A shift from labs to 1:1 initiatives –BYOD –BYON
