Effective response is mandatory State law requires schools to post a policy that defines how the school will respond to bullying. School personnel must take immediate steps to intervene when safe to do so. Timeline, appeal process and record are mandatory.

© No Bully ® When does bullying becomes harassment? …when a student is targeted because of a protected characteristic. e.g. Race, disability and gender (federal law). Ethnic group, national origin, color, religion, mental or physical disability, actual or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity (state law).

© No Bully ® The No Bully System® All staff prevent and interrupt student harassment and bullying. Staff check in and refer ongoing incidents to a school Solution Coach. Solution Coach convenes a Solution Team and follows up. Solution Coach implements an Empathy- Building Action Plan.
