3  Mates year-round  About 70 days after mating, female gives birth to one to three young  Live more than 20 years  Lives in tropical warm areas  reach adult size at about 8-10 months old.  They disperse from the natal range at approximately two years of age.  An ocelot is sexually mature at 18 months

4  Ocelot is a group animal  It is grouped with › Margay › Tiger – cat into the sub genus Leopardus

5  Can be found in Arizona and Texas south to Argentina  Found in very diverse habitats including › Rain forest › Montane forest › Thick bush › Semi-desserts › Costal marsh › Along river banks but never in open country
