2.  You probably know all about financial aid, but what else is there? ◦ Where will I live? ◦ What will I do? ◦ What is expected of me? ◦ Who can I turn to?

3.  Fill out your roommate questionnaire – be honest!!  Make sure to communicate with roommate(s) before orientation  You will need to compromise!  No need to be best friends with your roommate

4.  Find your passion and make your mark on your college  Get to know others  Resist the urge to go home every weekend

5.  Go to class!  Get enough sleep  Get to know professors and utilize their office hours  Differences between high school and college

7.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help  RAs, counselors, and professors are there to support you  Make new friends, but stay in touch with family and friends from home  Know your limits  Get enough sleep!!!  Make it fun!

8.  You are in it for you  You make these decisions for your future  You are responsible for your actions  READ your college handbook!!

9.  College is very difficult, but take advantage of resources around you  Advocate for yourself!  Others will think of you as an adult – be sure to act like it  HAVE FUN!
