HOW FRACTIONS, DECIMALS AND PERCENTAGES ARE RELATED By Oliver, Christian And Nick OH. Pick me, pick me
2
Decimals Decimals are a part of a whole number. Money is a good way to explain decimals because it has dollars and cents. Lets say Billy had $2.50 and he spent $2 he would have 50 cents or 0.2 left. If you needed $10 and you had $9 he would have 0.9 of what he needed. A good way to explain decimals is that they are part of a whole number. 0.9 is nearly 1 but its not. and 36.9 is nearly 37 but its not quite. Hmm… if x = y but a + b = x. then that must mean, a + y = BANANA!

SO WE ALL KNOW THAT A FRACTION A DECIMAL AND A PERCENTAGE ARE ALL PART OF A WHOLE. ITS EASIER IF WE THINK OF IT AS A PART OF 100. THAT WORKS WITH A FRACTION A DECIMAL AND A PERCENTAGE.
