Agenda 1.Payments Pilot Update 2.New Business Quote & Bind Survey Results 3.Commercial Lines Workflow Survey Status 4.Next Steps

Meeting Attendance

Real Time Payments Status –Pilot: Exploring Peel Mutual as a candidate Investigate SGI as an alternative Comments: Peel Mutual - we may hit a roadblock roadblock as they launched a program for which there wasn’t take up, so Bryan will hit a roadblock at higher up. SGI – Coachman would be a carrier. Brokers can already make payment on website, so they may be close. –Next Steps: Discuss with Bryan Bedford

New Business Quote & Bind External Review: –Survey completed –Results being analyzed

Technical Review Feedback

Business Review Feedback

NBQB Survey – Sample Comments On Benefits and Priority: This is the future of Broker - Carrier interaction and is a mandatory requirement for doing business now and moving forward. Difficulty is determining which piece to tackle first, second, etc..and maintaining momentum. On Systems affected: This is end-to-end, so many systems are involved: BMS', BMS export software, the middleware to catch BMS data and transform to carrier formats, a user interface or portal for messages, errors, etc..., the carrier rating programs and ultimately, Policy Admin system, the download for both Policy and Documents. On Roadblocks: Co-operation and co-ordination across all of the systems will be a challenge.

NBQB Survey – Sample Comments On Synergy with current initiatives: We are actively engaged in these implementations. Projects underway for 2013 delivery Suggestions: Industry needs to develop standards for electronic signatures Continue to work with the standards to reduce carrier specific needs. I think using a survey to gather feedback on these best practice workflow documents is not going to get much useful feedback. I think plain old email feedback would work better as it is more open-ended. If you are worried about response rate then schedule phone interviews.

New Business Quote & Bind Comments: –In survey results – compare Unica’s IT and business survey results for discrepancies. –Debbie to check with CCRI regarding use of electronic signatures –Rob will get a few names to get the survey to. –It was commented that perhaps NB Quote & Bind group should go a step deeper in defining the workflow. Deb explained that when the workflow gets into the pilot stage, then the group can go deeper. Lorie agreed, and explained that the group still doesn’t know the technology requirements. –Wendy commented that we need to keep in touch with survey respondents after they complete the survey. Currently we have a gap in managing expectations and reaching back out. –John will arrange a communication with survey respondents. He suggested we get back to them with a thank you note.

New Business Quote & Bind Next Steps: –Results distributed to: NBQ&B Working group R&I Committee –Assess changes /tuning required to the workflow and business case –Initiate Pilot Discussions

Commercial Lines First workflow – Small Commercial –Ready for external review Survey Process and Survey reviewed with CL Working Group Next Steps: Distribute invitations ASAP Comments: The survey should go out next week. Respondents will be given 3 weeks to complete the survey, so we should have results before next R&I meeting.

Other Items CSIO relationship: –Use NBQ&B survey as a re-entry point? No response to email Next step – call ? Comments: Rob met with CSIO regarding password management and CSIO is interested in working with someone to established guidelines. Perhaps we could involve CSIO and their new IT architect in our Password group. He should be attending the tech conference, so we can talk to him there. NB Quote & Bind is IBAO’s priority. Standards already exist. We should engage IBAO and CSIO may follow. We should send the best practice workflow and business case to IBAO and CSIO for technical and business review.

Compu-Quote Presentation Comments: Ken suggested we arrange a meeting with Compu-Quote, as he wasn’t successful in getting a response from them. They should do a presentation on their data bridge gateway. John will try to set up this presentation for our next R&I meeting.

Next Steps Next Meeting – Thursday Feb 28 Payments Pilot preparations New Business Quote & Bind Pilot preparations Commercial Lines External Review Status Presentation from CompuQuote on their Gateway data bridge
