Target Audience My target audience is 3 rd grade students from a suburban area school district. Therefore, my project must consider the age group as well as the suburban upbringing.

Objectives Given a prompt, 3 rd grade students will be able to identify brainstorming, planning/organization, delivery, and edit stage successfully. Given a sentence, 3 rd grade students will be able identify grammar and spelling mistakes during the edit stage. Given an outline, 3 rd grade students will be able to complete a layout with brainstorming ideas.

A prompt is A story starter Where you, the writer, Can be creative and write whatever you’d like! … Sounds like fun! So let’s take a look at our prompt

You wake up tomorrow morning on a completely new planet! The ground is jello, the mountains are ice cream, and you eat dessert every meal! Tell me about your new planet, your new house, your new school, and your hobbies on this planet!

The next step is Brainstorming! Brainstorming is taking some time to think of ideas in which you could answer this prompt! Let’s write!

Now on to the next step, planning! Planning is extremely important! It helps make your paper content more organized. This is how you go about planning…

So now you are ready to write your paper, in other words deliver! Your paper must include a Beginning Middle End

The beginning must introduce your ideas you have for your prompt and what you plan to write about

The middle must include all of your ideas! The middle is the meat of your story.

The end, also known as your conclusion, is what wraps up your story. The end is what finishes your prompt.

Now you are at your last stage, editing. You must reread your paper with readers glasses. convention errorsmisspelled words capitalization errors When you do this, you must read your paper like it’s the first time. This will help you look for convention errors, misspelled words, as well as capitalization errors.
