Opportunity This slide needs to give details on the opportunity – the unmet need, market inefficiency; like for example no proper sports facility for kids; no community team; no opportunity for KYFA kids to progress after 18; no flagship/senior team that could improve fund raising through commercial sponsorship; inefficient fee collection by informal teams/coaches – I think you could turn the considerations into these opportunities, but please review with the above in mind. Considerations Recruiting members directly Collecting fees from parents and guardians directly (trust factor, ownership, professional organisation etc) Improved structure for supporters base Own sport facilities (fields etc) More opportunities for sponsors Enhancing sustainability Improving roles and (earning) opportunities for current trainers, team leaders and other volunteers Better basis for (professional) top team
7
Goal To provide youth with even greater and better access to sports turning current association of independent football teams into Kenya’s leading football academy/club with proper facilities Become the most successful football club in Africa Membership value maximisation/specific benefits for the children
8
Statement of scope Specification of the business/work the organisation is/will be involved in; What services it will offer What customers and market segments it will serve (I presume no longer only children….???) What activities it will undertake And what are we not going to pursue?? Equally important to keep focus.
9
Strategy This should include a specification of the nature of KYFA’s competitive advantage (for example vs schools (fees); an indication of how KYFA’s offer (to the parents and children) will lead others to deal with it on terms that allow it to realize its goals (profitability/ creating value for children/members/become successful in the premier league and beyond); how do we attract a profitable market (fees collection/sponsors) How will we create value, generating a willingness to pay by parents and sponsors that exceeds the costs of serving them (children/corporate’s commercial needs Does KYFA offer a better product/service?? Yes? Clarify how! In the following slides you are somehow specifying the above for the respective stakeholders. I suggest you use this slide to summarize
