GOALS PREPARE PRACTICE PLAY TO WIN

IT IS WHO WE ARE 3 LEVELS OF PURPOSE –OFFENSE- MAKE PLAYS BY TAKING CARE OF THE BALL AND TAKING WHAT THE DEFENSE GIVES US. –DEFENSE- GET OFF THE FIELD BY PLAYING FAST AND PHYSICAL. –SPECIAL TEAMS- CHANGE THE WHOLE GAME (MOMENTUM & FIELD POSITION) BY PLAYING SMART TOGETHER.

(Who we are by How We Score) PHILOSOPHY Establish Clear Cut Goals Eliminate Turnovers and Negative Plays (End Every Drive with a Kick) Prioritize Touches (Get in the Playmaker’s Hands) Best 11 Football Players on the Field 53/ 100 (Make the Defense cover the Whole Field) No Huddle (Check Capability) (Goal 15 seconds on the Play Clock) Know Your Role Take what the Defense gives You SCHEME (Based out of various personnel/ formations and motions) Run Game: Triple Option Scheme/ Gap Scheme Play Action: Off all Run Game + Mesh & throw Quick/ Intermediate Quick Game: 1 High (Leverage/ Flat Defender)/ 2 High (Corner/ ½ Box) Intermediate: 1 High/ 2 High + Double Move Routes Screens: Carry and call at least 3 Screen schemes every Game

(Who we are by How We Get The Ball Back) PHILOSOPHY “KISS” Keep it sound and simple. “SWARM” We take great pride in being a swarming defense. The measure of a player’s value to the defense is by how far he is from the ball at the end of the play. Condition Contact- Out hit your opponent for 4 quarters. Practice and Preparation-We believe games are Won and Lost on Mon. thru Thurs. Tackling-We must be great tacklers in order to be a great defense. Hands- We put great emphasis in having great hands. You are going to get blocked, don’t stay blocked, get off and get to the football. “Big Plays” We will not give up the big play. SCHEME We believe in a 7 man front, with 2 deep secondary. Our goal is to “KISS” and play an “Attack” style of defense.

(Who we are by How We Change The Game) PHILOSOPHY Win the field position battle in every phase Utilize dependable players to eliminate breakdowns Score or set up a score in every game Build on or change the momentum of the game Play with relentless effort Create fear for the opponent Be on the attack or give the appearance of attack on every play Be special SCHEME Punt: Spread with vertical set protection Punt Block/Return: Attack weaknesses of opponents with blocks and returns Kickoff: Kick to zones on the field and adjust lanes to kicks Kickoff Return: Sideline returns and wedge return

IT IS WHAT WE DO 3 LEVELS OF GOALS –BELIEVE/ PREPARE- CHAMPIONS BELIEVE AND THEN PREPARE THEMSELVES TO HANDLE ANYTHING, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE. –PRACTICE- OUR GOAL IS TO IMPROVE AS A TEAM EVERYDAY AT PRACTICE. –PLAY TO WIN- TOO MUCH WORK HAS BROUGHT US TO THIS POINT TO JUST PLAY.

(What we do to Prepare to Win) Off- Season Session (12 Weeks) - Strength, Quickness, Agility, Tempo, Mental Toughness, “Tap In” Session Spring Training Session (2 Weeks) - Strength, Individual Meetings, Unit Meetings, Special Team Meetings Summer Session (4 Weeks) - Strength, Speed Conditioning, Q & A’s, Indy, 7 on 7, Lineman Challenge, OTA’s Pre-Season Session (3 Weeks) - Strength, Conditioning, Individual Meetings, Unit Meetings, Special Team Meetings, Practice, Jamboree In-Season Session (15 Weeks) - Strength, Individual Meetings, Unit Meetings, Special Team Meetings, Practice, Regular Season, Playoffs Post-Season Session (2 Weeks) - Post-Season Player Evaluations/ Senior Exit Sheets

(We win Monday – Thursday not on Friday) Practice Philosophy The Speed of the Leader is the Speed of the Pack (Lead Sled Dog)(Starts with the Leader) Always start practice with a Walk-Thru and Special T’s Work Fundamentals & Technique EVERYDAY! Circuits (Defense – Hands/Tackle/ Turnover)(Offense- Ball Sec./Blocking/Rapid Fire) High Tempo/ with Great Transition Reps, Reps, Reps Create Competition (Work Good on Good) Coach on the Run/ Learn on the Run (Coaches Keep Notes) Practice What we Do Work Every Situation (D&D, Field Zones, 2 Minute) (Thursday Practice- Play the Game) PUP (Always Good on Good) (No Opponent Look, only our stuff) Stop Practice for Special Teams (Do it in the Middle) Great Effort/ Great Energy Condition as we Practice (Extra Conditioning on Monday/ Unit Conditioning on Tuesday) Get Our RACE HORSES to the RACE (Stay up during the season) Get Better Everyday (We Must Improve, to be GREAT) Demand Perfection/ Do the Little Things Right

(What we do to put it all Together ) GAME PHILOSOPHY Play Fast with great Energy & Passion If you make a Mistake make it Full Speed Have Fun Stay in the Game at all Times 4 to 6 Seconds Believe in Each Other It’s all about the Ball, they got it GET IT, if we got it KEEP IT. 5 Things that make the Difference for us in a Game Win the Contact Battle (Be Physical) No Turnovers/ Get Takeaways No Stupid Penalties 4 to 5 plays that will make the difference in the game (Must be US) Be Sound in the Kicking Game WHEN IT’S OVER, WE ASK ONE QUESTION: DO WE DESERVE IT?

Every morning the African gazelle wakes up. He must outrun the fastest lion or be killed… Every morning the lion wakes up. He must outrun the slowest gazelle or starve to death… It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be running. It doesn’t matter who our opponent is on the field or off, or how good they are or how big they are, or how athletic they are; we will outwork them. That is our passion, our purpose, our planning, and our preparation.

Paul’s charge to Timothy “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction.”
