4.  Saskatchewan is rich in many resources, such as petroleum,minerals,and farm land.1 out of 3 of Saskatchewan is used for farming because Saskatchewan’s soil is good for growing crops. Other grains grow here include : canola, flax, rye, oats, canary seed, and barley. Almost half of Canada’s grain is grown in Saskatchewan. Natural Features

6.  The provincial flower of Saskatchewan is called “Prairie Lilies ”. In 1914,the western red lily was named Saskatchewan’s provincial flower. 7.  Saskatchewan’s flag was adopted in 1969. It’s top half is green and serves as a symbol of Saskatchewan’s forests. The bottom half of the flag is yellow.
