SCOPUS : h INDEX Translation of: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indice_Hhttp://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indice_H http://blog.scopus.com/posts/the-scopus-h-index-whats-it-all-about-part-ii The index was suggested by Jorge Hirsch in 2005 as a tool for determining the relative quality of theoretical physicists, this measure can be extended to all researchers publishing in peer-reviewed journals. The Index is trying to quantify scientific productivity and impact of a scientist in the level of citation of its publications. It can also apply to a group of scientists, as a department, a university or a country. Only uses documents published in 1996 or later.
48
You can calculate the h index on any set of results. It displays publishing information for a single author, multiple authors or a group of selected documents. h index is based on the highest number of publications and has at least the same number of citations. Z. L. Pratt has a h=3 that’s mean Pratt has written 3 papers with at least 3 citations each. SCOPUS : h INDEX
