That means, diversity is the differences and distinctiveness separating one person or thing from another. Diversity means that people come from a different culture, or have different ideas

Diversity is important because it provides our society and culture with unique and inspirational perspectives. Diversity can create new ideas and changes that can be helpful to a society in the workplace. It can develop the organization's awareness to an increasingly unlike world of customers, improve relations with the surrounding community, increase the organization's ability to deal with the change, and expand the vision of the organization. In addition to contributing to these business goals, diversity can give to goals unique of the workplace.

There is a better need for tolerating work place diversity, particularly because of the variety of backgrounds people have regarding gender, ethnic, background and religion. Therefore, I think we should know how to adjust and improve yourself in the workplace.

In my opinion, there are 6 ways to respect Diversity in the Workplace. I think it is also important for you to improve and adjust yourself to work with your colleagues

We all have prejudice. It's a natural result of our life experiences. Take a moment to write down what you prejudice are and how you can not allow these prejudice to affect the way you conduct yourself at work.

We should get to know someone different than you. Take a real interest in someone with a different background than your own. Make sure that your conversations find common ground in an area that it does not be rude to cultural sensibilities.

Respect religious holidays. Most companies respect Christian holidays, however the workplace is far more than just Christian. All important religious holidays should be respected for employees of that particular religion.

Find someone with a different background who shares the same company goal with you and strategize with them.

Avoid language that demeans a particular group of individuals. For instance avoid calling women girls and avoid jokes that have religious or cultural inferences.

Find out about everyone in your departments skills, knowledge and experience. This will help you respect what they bring to the workplace.

A culturally diverse workplace promotes equity and enhances staff skills and agency success. Agencies working with diversity have identified the significant benefits to of having a culturally diverse workplace.
