University of Baroda : Monitoring Institution Report for the period of April – September, 2012 District covered : Dangs, Navsari, Valsad and Surat 1.In one school in Dangs district students reported that the quality of food was not good. 2.Buffer stock of one-month’s requirement of food grains was not maintained in 8 schools in district Dangs. 3.Menu was not followed in 22 schools in district Dangs.

Sardar Patel Institute of Economic & Social Research : Monitoring Institution Report for the period of April – September, 2012 District covered : Amreli & Jamnagar 1.The quantity of dal & vegetable was found to be insufficient in Amreli. 2.Noticeable difference was found in number of children actually taking the MDM and number recorded in the MDM registers in some schools. 3.In many schools MDM register was not updated in terms of daily students intake of MDM. 4.Delay of three to four months in payment of remuneration of MDM staff in 7 schools.
