2 Announcements Campus tours are being offered from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. and start in the lobby. Tours last approximately 30 min. The last tour leaves at 5:15 p.m.

3 Did you know…? Marquette University was founded in 1881 by the Society of Jesus, a Catholic religious order established in 1540 by St. Ignatius Loyola.

4 Announcements Attention Graduate Assistants: All university employees, including graduate assistants, are required to pass Marquette University’s Sexual Harassment Training online. Results must be submitted to the Department of Human Resources within 60 days of their start date. Visit marquette.edu/hr online for more information.

34 Did you know…? Not every campus can boast its own art museum. Marquette University is home to the Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art, which features more than 8,000 works from Old Masters to contemporary art. Admission is free and the museum is open seven days a week.

Brief History of the St. Joan of Arc Chapel, Located in the Middle of Marquette’s Campus  14 th or 15 th Century: Constructed in southeast France;  1926: Acquired by Mrs. Gertrude Hill Gavin, who had it transferred to her estate on New York’s Long Island;  1962: Estate passed into possession of Mr. & Mrs. Marc B. Rojtman;  1964: The Rojtmans presented the Chapel to Marquette and had it dismantled and sent to the campus for the university to reconstruct;  1965: Reconstruction started in July;  1966: Chapel was dedicated May 26. Tours offered 7 days a week!

68 Did you know…? We are proud to say that Marquette’s Golden Eagles compete in the Big East Conference! Marquette’s official entry into the Big East Conference occurred on July 1, 2005. The university offers partial to full athletic scholarships in all varsity sports, including: basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, track, golf, and volleyball.
