DISCIPLE? “WANNA BE A DISCIPLE?” Disciple= “A Follower of the Teaching & Master Teacher!”  “And whosoever does not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.”  “And whosoever does not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:27

A FOLLOWER OF THE TEACHING “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”  The Disciple should be as his Master Matthew 10:24 “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?” ”If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”  John 12:26 ”If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”

“ For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. “  John 13:15 “ For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. “ “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.”  1 Peter 2:21 “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.” FOLLOW JESUS’ EXAMPLE!

A disciple abides (lives, dwells) in Jesus “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”  John 15:4 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.”  John 15:9-10 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.”

A disciple serves Jesus out of LOVE & GRATITUDE. John 14:21-23  21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  22 Judas said unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us, and not unto the world?  23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him

1 Cor. 6:19,20 LOVE & GRATITUDE! You are bought with a price! 1 Cor. 6:19,20  “What? Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?”  “For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” “For the love of Christ constrains us”  2 Corinthians 5:14 “For the love of Christ constrains (motivates) us”

A disciple must love Jesus above all else & all others. “No man can serve two masters: he will hate one, & love the other...hold to one & despise the other.”  Mat.6:24 “No man can serve two masters: he will hate one, & love the other...hold to one & despise the other.” “He that loves father, mother, son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.”  Mat.10:37 “He that loves father, mother, son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” “If any man come to Me & (by comparison) hate not his father, mother, children...he can not be My disciple.”  Lk.14:26 “If any man come to Me & (by comparison) hate not his father, mother, children...he can not be My disciple.”

Feed My sheep.”  Jn.21:15-17 “Do you Love Me? Feed [teach & instruct] My sheep.” “the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”  2Tim.2:2 “the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (See Acts 20:20)

A disciple is one who obeys the Master: “he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”  Mat.12:48-50 “he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 15 Different ministries of disciples:  A.
