LET’S TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE, PLEASE

Perspective

Life Is transitory “Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die” The Apostle Paul, The Bible (1 Corinthians 15:32)

“Strangers in the world” The Apostle Peter, The Bible

DEATH IS TRANSITORY

Dead man walking!

The other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe

Dead man walking! And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? “See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have

Dead man walking! Where O Death is your victory? Where O Death is your sting? Apostle Paul, The Bible

Dead man walking! Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies Jesus, The Bible

Death is a transition to a beautiful dimension

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Death is a transition to a beautiful dimension For instance, we know that when these bodies of ours are taken down like tents and folded away, they will be replaced by resurrection bodies in heaven—God-made, not handmade— and we'll never have to relocate our "tents" again. Sometimes we can hardly wait to move—and so we cry out in frustration. Compared to what's coming, living conditions around here seem like a stopover in an unfurnished shack, and we're tired of it! We've been given a glimpse of the real thing, our true home, our resurrection bodies! The Spirit of God whets our appetite by giving us a taste of what's ahead. He puts a little of heaven in our hearts so that we'll never settle for less. That's why we live Sometimes we can hardly wait to move—and so we cry out in frustration.
