1.Serve as a splint i:e reduces pain, control bleeding, protect the healing socket from trauma. 2.Psychological advantage( pt: is spared from inconvenience & stress of edentulousness). 3.Pt: regains function faster e.g: speech & mastication. 4.More compatibility with oral surroundings as tissues have not yet changed position. 5.Less change in facial appearance 6.Natural teeth aid in vertical relation positioning & selecting artificial teeth. 7.Less TMJ disturbances. 8.Easy to refit by relining. ADVANTAGES
