Languages The main language is French. The other languages are Alsatian, Breton and Basque.

Food They eat a lot of bread. They eat pastries called croissants. Breakfast foods are orange juice, hot cocoa and toast with butter and jam. For lunch some people eat tabbouleh salad and roasted tomatoes.

School They attend school until age 16 and begin at age 2. They take trains to school and go home for lunch. They learn math and go to French class in primary schools.

Clothing They wear the latest fashions. They wear dressy clothes. On weekends they wear casual clothes.

Homes Country homes are in farms or villages. In the city people live in apartments.

Leisure Activities They like soccer, rugby and tennis. The play a game called boules. Its an outdoor bowling game. If they live by the beach they swim. If they live on the mountain they hike and ski. They also do bicycle racing.
