Objective of the National Food Security Mission (NFSM) National Food Security Mission (NFSM) is a centrally sponsored scheme with an objective to increase production and productivity of wheat, rice and pulses on a sustainable basis so as to ensure food security of the country. The approach is to bridge the yield gap in respect of these crops through improved technologies and farm management practices & to increase production of rice, wheat and pulses through area expansion, crop protection and productivity enhancement in a sustainable manner in the identified districts.

Company Profile of HIL  HINDUSTAN INSECTICIDES LIMITED (HIL) is a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.  HIL was incorporated in March, 1954 to meet the requirements of insecticides for National Malaria Eradication Programme launched by the Government of India.  Presently HIL has three units located at Udyagamondal, Cochin (1958), Rasayani, Maharashtra (1997) and Bathinda, Punjab (2003)
