HOW DID WISCONSIN GET INVOVLED? U.S. Department of Education Office of Vocational and Adult Education sent a RFP announcement. Great opportunity to expand Wisconsin’s work in the area of programs of study Announcement of the award was in October, 2010 $258,400/year up to a maximum of four years

WHY MANUFACTURING Wisconsin is home to over 9,000 manufactures Manufacturing accounts for $47 billion to our state’s economy The manufacturing industry ranks #2 in Wisconsin gross state product The manufacturing industry employs 448,000 workers Six states in total were awarded RPOS grants Arizona – EducationKansas – STEM Maryland – AutomotiveMontana – Construction Utah – Health ScienceWisconsin - Manufacturing

WHAT IS A RPOS? Focuses on the ten components The ten components are currently embedded into the five areas of our current Carl Perkins application

EVALUATION We will be using data to evaluate the effectivness of our work. The evaluation will using RPOS concentrators versus non-RPOS concentrators.
