Plymouth, England Main Menu Plymouth, England is located in the South West coast of England. In September of 1620, 102 passengers boarded a ship in Plymouth, England. The passengers were in search of the “New World”.

The passengers became Pilgrims when they left England in search of the “New World”. Pilgrim is Latin for peregrinus. They were led by Robert Browne. Pilgrims Main Menu

The first winter the pilgrims were in Plymouth was terrible. It snowed and was very cold all winter long – even colder then usual. The pilgrims were unable to crop a harvest and went without necessary food supply. Nearly half the pilgrims died that winter. The First Winter Main Menu

A Native American Tribe located in Plymouth, MA. There was over 3,000 of them in Plymouth, before the pilgrims arrived. They were known for their agriculture skills. They taught the pilgrims how to farm the fertile soil. Wampanoag Tribe Main Menu

Even though the Pilgrims landed in 1620 the first Thanksgiving took place in 1621. The feast lasted 5 days. They ate seafood, lobster, corn on the cob, pudding, cranberries. It was thought that potatoes were poisonous so they didn’t eat them. The First Thanksgiving Main Menu
