CONCLUSION Academic libraries in Malaysia are committed to the provision of CPD to their staff. Regardless of public or private organisations, CPD is being undertaken by them. The number of CPD programmes they run or undertake is very much dependent on the number of staff and the funds available. However, numerous initiatives are in place to support the CPD programmes and the Malaysian academic libraries support each other. 25
