Some facts about seatbelt safety: In 2001, 13,274 lives were saved due to seatbelts and if all people over age 4 wore seatbelts another 7, 334 lives could have been saved. IN the past 26 years seatbelts prevented 135,000 fatalities and 3.8 million injuries. Car accidents in the year 2000 cost our society $230 billion. Please read page 46 for more info.

Sleep Sleep is important for our rejuvenation and healing!! Studies have shown that many people only sleep 6 hours or less and this leads to health problems: weight gain, high blood pressure and a decrease in the immune system.

Sleep helps us by: Improving our memory and learning Improving our metabolism Improving our safety, when we are driving Improving our moods, we are less irritable, moody or impatient. Decreases our stress hormones thus improving our cardiovascular health Please read pg 48, tips on improving sleep

In summary: You need to do some aerobic exercise at least two times a week for 30 minutes and include stretching and abdominals. Twice a week it is important to do some resistance or weight-training for 20 minutes. Find out how you can stay motivated and do negative energy clearing exercise each day.

In summary, continued: Always, always, always use a seatbelt!! Most people need 8 hours sleep, if you have bad dreams or wake up feeling depressed, do no drink alcohol or eat sugar before you go to sleep.
