5 to do more practical maths activities “We recreated the World’s tallest man using measuring skills, ratio and proportion.”

6 more opportunities for outdoor learning / educational visits “I like working in our school’s Giant Veggie Patch.” “I enjoyed making dens at Beacon Fell.”

7 more practical work and less focus on written outcomes

8 to use technology to present work in different ways, e.g. movies, magazines, QR codes etc This QR code should take you back to our website.

9 have ‘experts’ to deliver parts of the curriculum, e.g. F.E. students, high school students/teachers

10 to have a say about their curriculum and to broaden their curriculum “I loved making pilau rice and vegetable curry as part of our topic about India.”

11 to have the time for in-depth study and to produce quality pieces of work

12 to have a curriculum that has real life meaning for us and takes account of current affairs

13 The aim of our charter: That our children leave us with a wealth of skills and experiences and with a love of learning. The 5 R’s for learning are embedded. Our children are ‘high school ready’.
