1. ASH WEDNESDAY 2009 O Jesus, you place on my forehead the sign of your saving Cross: "Turn from sin and be faithful to the gospel." How can I turn from sin unless I turn to you? You speak, you raise your hand, you touch my mind and call my name. "Turn to the Lord your God again." These days of your favour leave a blessing as you pass on me and all your people. Turn to us, Lord God, and we shall turn to you.

2. LENT WEEK 1 Lent is about talking up as well as giving up! TAKE UP – GIVIN THANKS. BE THANKFUL. TAKE UP - SEEING THE BEST IN PEOPLE. TAKE UP - PRAYER. BEGIN YOUR DAY SPEAKING TO GOD. TAKE UP- TRUSTING IN GOD. EVERYBODY PERSON IS MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD. GIVE UP- MOANING, GROANING AND COMPLAINING. GIVE UP - LOOKING FOR PEOPLE’S FAULTS. GIVE UP - 15 MINUTES MORE IN BED. Use that to pray GIVE UP - WORRY AND ANXIETY GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THE DAY.

3. LENT WEEK 2 Tell someone you are sorry Eat what you are served Help your brother/sister Forget a grudge Try to be patient Pray for Peace Help at home Don’t fight Be friendly Be kind HOME OTHERS SCHOOL

4. LENT WEEK 3 Visit someone who is sick Remember Mothers’ Day Make a gift for someone Thank Jesus for his love Take care of someone Give something away Smile more often Wash the dishes Be on time FASTING GIVING PRAYER

5. LENT WEEK 4 Go to Mass Use your Trócaire box Help at home Don’t complain Say your prayers Say ‘thanks’ to someone Thank God for someone PRAYER FASTING GIVING
