3 The city started cracking down --45 charged with trespassing Students responded with a boycott Sales dropped by 1/3 and merchants gave in!!!

4 Civil rights leader James Lawson led trainings in non-violent resistance techniques in Tennessee The Sit-In movement spread like wildfire By April 1961, 150 communities had staged sit-ins And continues to do so today…
