3. The youth ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church, through God’s grace and guidance, will seek to: Convert, Convict, and Correct all those who may come in contact with this ministry; including, teens, parents, and staff. So that, through their changed lives there may be a real impact on those in their immediate area and eventually on others throughout the world. This will be done for this purpose: that God may be glorified (1 Cor.10:31) and that they may Qualify when they see Christ (Ecc.12:13-14; 2 Tim 4:5-8; Matt 25:21, 23).

When they see Christ, they will Qualify!! 1 Corinthians 10:31 – Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day….

6. Youth Ministry is not….  A Babysitting Service  Responsible for rearing your child  Entertainment for your teens  Just the youth pastor/youth workers job  A punishment – do not hang youth group over your teens heads

7. Youth Ministry is….  A needed area of every teens life  A valuable assistance to you in rearing your teens – an extension of the home through the church  An outlet of fun and good times  A place to choose role models

8. Youth Ministry is….  A place to grow spiritually – gets them out of their comfort zone  A place to fail and succeed  A place of love  A safe haven from the world – for some this is the most important

9.  Regular Teen Visitation  See more teens added to the youth group  Baptize those that have been saved  Teen choir on a regular basis  A more effective S.W.A.T. Rally

10.  Pray  Volunteer for misc. jobs  Always support the authorities in front of your teens  Support your teens’ spiritual decisions  Don’t get jealous of positive results
