They lived in lodges and teepees. Today the states are Kansas, Nebraska, some of Canada, Texas, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and North Dakota. The land affected their lives by the weather, food, water, and shelter.

They decided were to live based on if there was enough food, water, and shelter.

They lived in teepees while on the hunt. The animal they would hunt was buffalo. The plains tribes use every part of the buffalo. They got here by foot and by land bridge. “Powwow was a native American dance.”

The plains tribes always worried about what would happen that day were we would worry about what would happen in the future days. Also we would focus on saving when they would focus on giving.

We learned that the Great plains Indians have a lot of tribes. They also really like to hunt buffalo. We are still wondering if they ever got tired of eating buffalo three times a day every day for a year.
