2. Global Warming: Antarctica

3. Global Warming is happening all over the world.

4. Climate Control : The temperature has increased 5 Celsius over the past 50 years.  Snow has decreased during the winters.  Glaciers are melting at a rapid pace due to the heat.   Rising temperatures cause ice shelves to break up.

5. Animal behavior:  Krill has begun to decrease in the waters of Antarctica leaving the seals to starve.  Polar bears have to travel long distances to find food.  Penguin and birds eggs are hatching early because of early springs.  The number of Killer Whales has diminished in Antarctica for lack of food.

6. Ice caps are melting at a rapid pace.

7. Environment changes:  Two species of plants are now growing inland.  Water levels have increased due to melting glaciers.  Grass is now covering mountain sides.  Less summer ice for food and habitats.

8. Water levels are increasing.

9. Prevention:  Stop smoking  Use cleaner fuels.  Use hybrid(fuel efficient) cars.  Stop pollution.  Educate children on Global Warming issues.
