9 Lab Safety Rules 1.Follow directions. 2.No horseplay. 3.If you are unsure… ask before you do anything. 4.Report all accidents, spills, or breaks immediately. 5.Tie back long hair; roll up sleeves; no flip- flops or open toe shoes.

10 6.No eating, drinking, or applying make- up in the lab area. 7.Wear goggles at all times when instructed. 8.Know the location of all safety equipment. 9.Use common sense.

11 Additional Rules for Dissections No open-toed shoes Treat specimens with respect Dispose of specimens as directed Handle scalpels, scissors and dissecting probes with extreme care and caution DISSECTIONS CANNOT BE MADE UP!! Write these on the back of your safety contract
