1 Quick Start Guide DRAFT

2 1.Prepare Laundry Check pockets for small loose items. Close zippers and fasten hooks. Separate whites, darks, light colors, and non-colorfast Garments, and items that produce lint from items that collect lint. You may also want to sort by fabric type or soil level. 2.Load the Washer Do not overload drum. See the illustration below for guidance on maximum loading. Load each garment loosely; do not place folded items into the drum. The washing and drying performance will decrease when the drum is overloaded. 3.Add Fabric Care Products 4.Select the Cycle Turn the cycle selector knob to power on the appliance. Continue turning the knob to select the desired wash cycle. Select from the available options: Delay, Prewash, Extra Rinse, and Drying. 5.Start the Washer Press the “Start/Pause” button to begin the cycle or initiate a delay start countdown. Use only High Efficiency detergent. Non-HE detergent may cause excessive suds which could lead to poor wash performance and damage your appliance. * When “Prewash” option is selected, use only powdered HE detergent in both the prewash and main wash compartments. Fill halfway with clothes, leave additional room if wet. Clothes will have sufficient room to tumble freely during dry cycle. Haier QUICK START GUIDE Before Installing this appliance, carefully read and follow all Safety and Installation Instructions included in the User Manual. Important things to check include transportation bolts, hose connections, and leveling of the appliance. Installation Getting Started Do not pack the drum to full capacity. 3 Auto-Lock Door : This washer has a self-locking door that unlocks 3 minutes after the machine has stopped. The door cannot be opened until this time has elapsed. Child Lock : This feature is intended to prevent accidental changes to the operating machine. After starting the washer, press the "Delay" and "Start/Pause" buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate this feature. The condenser is a major component of the drying system. Cold tap water must be supplied to the unit for the drying system to work. Failure to do so will result in poor drying performance and potential damage to dryer components. Cleaning the Button trap 1.Press down on the release latch to hinge forward the access panel. 2.Turn the trap counterclockwise to unlock and remove. Remove debris from the trap and rinse clean. 3.Reinsert the trap and turn clockwise to lock in place. Close the access panel. NOTE: A small amount of water will drain from the trap. Use a shallow pan or place a towel on the floor before removing the Button Trap. Sensor Drying: During a dry cycle, the initial estimated time will count down to 10 min. The time will remain at 10 min until the sensor detects that the load is at the proper dryness level to continue the countdown. Drying Cycles: All dry cycles (Auto dry, 60 min dry, Touch up) are sensor controlled cycles. The drying time will vary depending on the load size and fabric type. Dryer Function NOTE: If using a Y-connector, make sure that only cold water is turned on while using the dryer function. NOTE: You may hear “spraying” or “water rushing” sounds because water is circulated in the condenser during a dry cycle.
