Why modernize Member/Committee Data? 2 Current data is Not in one central collection available for distribution Missing a number of data elements, such as swearing in date/time temporal (time) data Not all elements are available in machine-readable format

Project Goals 3 The Member and Committee Modernization Project seeks to improve how House member and committee data is maintained, used, and distributed across the House, within the Legislative Branch, and to the public.

Sample Data that will be included 4 Start and end times for Congress and sessions Member data Name information and unique id Current State/District; Previous State/District Phone number(s) Website Election date Swearing date/time Leadership positions Seniority

Sample data that will be included 5 Committee/Subcommittee Data Unique ID Complete full committee name, shortened name Committee type Websites (minority and majority, if applicable) Organizational date for committee and subcommittee
